Virginia's WWI Centennial Homepage

Over 100,000 Virginians served in World War I; over 4,000 died from disease, combat, and training accidents. In advance of the 2017 centennial of the United States' entry into the war the Virginia World War I Centennial Committee is planning events and commemorations to honor the efforts and sarifices of soldiers and citizens on the homefront. In the menus on the left you will find links to commemorative events in the Commonwealth and sites in Virginia which embody or present the history of WWI. Please contact us if you are hosting events or sites in your community.

Below is a live feed from our Facebook page, "Virginia World War I Centennial Committee." Please like the page and contribute information about Virginians who served in The Great War.
